He knew Africa’s cape buffalo could be dangerous and unpredictable. He also knew they were strong — the males weigh around 1,500 pounds. But the one thing Richard Daniels never expected was how cunning the huge beasts could be.
I actually thought cape buffalo were kind of stupid But then saw a herd of them take on some lions It was like a chess game, watching the lions and the buffalo go back and forth gaining and then losing ground The buffalo are actually pretty smart, he said.
Daniels was in Kenya last November (2005) on safari During the 18-day trip, he got to do a lot of shooting but not with a gun. Instead, he was taking pictures with his camera The photos from his trip are on exhibit at Mohave Community College’s Lake Havasu City campus now through Sept 22, 2006.

Panama 2015 Photos
Over the past decade, Panama has been one of the fastest growing economies worldwide. Average annual growth was 7.2 percent between 2001 and 2013, more than double the regional average. The Panamanian economy grew by 6.1 percent in 2014, coming down to 5 4.9 percent in 2016. For 2017 there was a rebound to 5.5, and for this year and 2019 the forecast continues to rise with 5.6 percent, the highest in Latin America.
The Wave
The Wave is located in the Coyote Buttes North area of the Arizona Strip. There are two great photographic locations in Coyote Buttes North (The Wave and The Second Wave) and numerous minor ones including The Alcove, Top Rock Arch, Melody Arch and the Grotto, Sand Cove, and Fatali's Boneyard. The Wave is best photographed from mid-morning to early afternoon so as to minimize the extensive shadows; the other areas listed above are best photographed mid-late afternoon.
